Personal Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, I enjoy creative and hands-on hobbies like building LEGO sets, leatherworking, and model building. I also love spending time outdoors camping and fishing, as well as relaxing at home playing video games with my son. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my family.

My family is lucky to share our household with our three beloved pets: Fred, a mischievous and loving Siamese mix cat who was surrendered to the hospital years ago and quickly won over our family; Gracie, a sweet senior Border Collie mix we adopted from a family who could no longer care for her; Wisp, a goofy and happy Chihuahua mix we adopted as a puppy from Humane Colorado.

Favorite Part of My Job

My favorite part of this job is seeing a pet come into the hospital very sick and being part of the team that helps save their life. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a patient recover and being able to send them home with their family. Those moments remind me why I chose this profession and why emergency medicine is so meaningful to me.

Why I Chose This Profession

I chose veterinary medicine because I wanted to help improve the lives of pets and the people who love them. Animals are such an important part of many families, and being able to support both the pet and their owner during difficult moments is incredibly fulfilling.

Education

Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology
Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology (2014)

Professional Background

I am a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of Colorado and have spent the majority of my career at Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital. I first joined the hospital as an intern while attending Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and was fortunate to be offered a position in the emergency department after graduating in 2014.

Emergency medicine has always been my primary professional focus. I enjoy the fast-paced environment, the teamwork required to stabilize critical patients, and the opportunity to make a real difference during life-threatening situations. In my role as RVT Supervisor, I’m also passionate about mentoring and teaching new technicians as they develop their skills and confidence in the field.
