That’s why it is our great pleasure to announce that we have decided to focus our community support and charitable works on the Aurora Animal Shelter.
This outstanding local agency offers an amazing menu of services to our community. From shelter and adoption services to providing pet food for low-income families in crisis and investigating abused and neglected animals, this organization is going the extra mile for the pets and pet owners of Aurora.
About Aurora Animal Shelter
While we know there are many outstanding charities in our community, Aurora Animal Shelter is close to our heart. The good works provided by the shelter and the staff and volunteers caring for our community’s pets in crisis are second to none.
While the City of Aurora pays the rent on the facility and the salaries of the professional staff needed to keep the shelter running, the shelter relies entirely on private donations to provide for the pets inside the shelter.
This means that 100% of the monies needed to provide medical services to the pets in their care, as well as the food, blankets, and toys needed—everything the shelter relies on for its daily operations—comes from community donations.
Aurora Animal Shelter is currently raising funds for an $80,000 capital campaign to build an outdoor play and exercise area for the dogs under its care—a worthy cause that will be enjoyed by those who need a little fun the very most.
At Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, we understand and appreciate the necessity for the services the shelter provides, and wish to assist them in their fund raising endeavors. We will begin hosting a variety of fundraising events for the shelter and will be facilitating donations from our clients, should they wish to support the shelter as well.

In addition to our charitable support, Seven Hills VH is also excited to announce that in the near future, some of the adoptable pets housed temporarily at the Aurora Animal Shelter will be available for viewing through our website. Because sometimes the best thing you can give is a forever home.
