Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Caroline Gombas, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, Inc. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping every patient feel safe and comfortable during their visit.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I love creating art across many different mediums, attending live music, hiking, camping, and spending time in nature here in Aurora, CO. I also enjoy competing at powwows in the summers. At home I share my life with two cats — Toad, a calico who is turning five and is very much the cat version of me, and Lumi (short for Lumiere, when he's in trouble), a three-year-old cow cat and the lover boy of the family — as well as Dino, an eleven-year-old dog who is wonderfully awkward and full of love.
Why I Chose This Profession
Animals have always been a central part of my life, and my years working as a dog bather gave me a strong foundation in animal handling, behaviour, and basic care. That experience sparked a deeper interest in veterinary medicine and led me to pursue a more hands-on role in animal health.
Education
I earned my Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts with a focus in Indigenous Studies and Environmental Science from Haskell Indian Nations University in 2025.
Work History
Before joining Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, Inc, I spent four years as a dog bather across three salons — Shakers Dog Wash in St. Louis, MO, Pawsh Wash in Lawrence, KS, and PetSmart in Kansas City, MO — where I developed strong skills in animal handling and behaviour across a wide range of breeds and temperaments.
