Hi, my name is Kate Sarka, and I am a Client Service Representative at Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, Inc. I am passionate about supporting pet owners and helping every client feel cared for and understood during their visit.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy painting, colouring, reading, watching TV, and spending time with my family here in Aurora, CO. At home I share my life with Mr. Bear, a two-year-old Staffordshire/Pit mix who is equal parts chaos and cuddles — my favourite chaos machine and the best snuggle after a long day.
Favorite Part of My Job
My favourite part of this job is interacting with pet owners and seeing how much love they have for their animals. Even during stressful emergency situations, the bond people share with their pets is incredible — being able to support clients during those moments and help them feel cared for and understood is something I find very meaningful.
Why I Chose This Profession
I have always wanted to help animals. Before joining the veterinary field, I worked in human healthcare, supporting people with disabilities and assisting with physical therapy and medications. That experience taught me how meaningful it is to care for others, but I ultimately decided to transition into veterinary medicine so I could focus on helping animals while continuing to learn more about their care and well-being.
Education
I completed my Physical Therapy programme at Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) from 2019 to 2021, followed by their Pharmacy Technician programme from 2021 to 2023, earning certifications in both.
Professional Background
My background in healthcare, spanning training in both physical therapy and pharmacy technology, gave me valuable experience supporting patients, managing medications, and communicating with clients during stressful situations. Those skills translate directly to veterinary medicine, where compassion, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential. Working at Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, Inc has also given me the opportunity to learn more about veterinary medicine firsthand — I enjoy observing procedures such as soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries and learning how our doctors approach different medical cases.
Work History
Prior to joining Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, Inc, I worked in human healthcare supporting people with disabilities, where I gained hands-on experience in physical therapy assistance, medication management, and compassionate client communication. I joined the Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, Inc team as a Client Service Representative in June 2025.
