Personal Hobbies and Interests

Outside of the hospital, I enjoy creative and outdoor activities that help me recharge. I love pottery, baking, paddle boarding, and snowboarding. I also share my home with two cats, Tormund and Frank, and a crested gecko named Archibald.

Favorite Part of My Job

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is being able to improve a patient’s wellbeing and overall quality of life. Whether I’m managing a chronic internal medicine case or helping a sick pet feel better after an urgent visit, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing a patient become comfortable, stable, and happy again. I’m also deeply grateful for the relationships I’m able to build with clients and their pets. Establishing trust and working together to support a pet’s long-term health is one of the most meaningful aspects of veterinary medicine for me.

Why I Chose This Profession

I chose veterinary medicine because of my lifelong love for animals combined with a strong interest in science. I’ve always been fascinated by how the body works and how medical intervention can restore health. Becoming a veterinarian allowed me to merge compassion with critical thinking and apply both in a way that directly improves the lives of animals and the families who love them.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Animal Science

Professional Background

My professional interests are centered in internal medicine, where I enjoy working through complex cases and developing thoughtful, evidence-based treatment plans. Practicing in both general practice and emergency medicine allows me to manage a wide range of cases, from preventive care and chronic disease management to urgent and acute conditions.

My early clinical experience as a technical assistant and my involvement in parasitology research before and during veterinary training provided a strong foundation in both hands-on patient care and scientific investigation. That background continues to shape my analytical approach to medicine and reinforces my commitment to practicing high-quality, research-informed veterinary care.
